Ta da! After more than a week of intense coding and design, April Zero is (sort of) done! I say ’sort of’ because there are a few loose ends that still need to be fixed. The Live Archives aren’t done. I don’t really need them yet, however, with only 10 posts. A slightly bigger issue, the regular archives page hasn’t been done yet.
But as you can see in the progress indicators - the design is practically finished. And the code is also quite ready to launch - you can comment, read posts, everything. I will be modifying things, adding more bells and whistles, and tinkering over the next few weeks — but consider this site launched!
But if you’ve seen the Trinity Splash you’ll know that this isn’t the only site that is launching today. Indeed, Dragon Labs is getting a heavy redesign too. It looks a bit similar to the older version, but has been both totally redesigned (remade the images and optimized everything) and also recoded (works in all the browsers now - old version had serious issues with Safari). That also needs some copywriting and finalization, but has also been, for the most part, finished.
I would love to spend another week on these two sites, and make them even better. I know I could - but unfortunately time is limited and I have already put my current clients on hold for quite a while now. I’m glad to have given my sites a long-needed upgrade, but now there is work to be done.
Also, unfortunately, Mediastorm didn’t make the August 24th release date. But it is also getting there and will come out real soon!
