Live Free or Die Hard is I believe the 4th of the series. I had never really watched any or been into Bruce Willis, but my ex-girlfriend got me to watch them a year or two ago.
The movie was surprisingly good. I’d say the oddest thing about it was the person we’re so used to as playing “Mac” on those Apple commercials we all love. He’s a great actor, very funny and all but it just felt sort of weird because I guess we’ve got him associated with that role now.
Anyways, the action scenes were good. Fun dialogue (very witty but not cheesy), creative (in plot, sorta) and pretty much the same idea and theme as the rest of them (singlehandedly take down a diabolical plot to destroy the nation/world, and rescue some loved ones taken hostage at the same time). Very 24esque. Shooter would still my favorite movie this year, but I’d say this one is second. Followed (at a bit of a distance) by Oceans 13 and then (more distance) Fantastic 4 II.
Elsewhere, I saw a movie called Good Bye, Lenin! It’s in German and a few years old. It was pretty good—an intriguing and creative plot, though the whole story is a bit sad.
Anyways, I’ve got a bunch of work to finish up this week. There’s been a bit of a holdup on content, but I’m hoping to get The Hosting Factory live and running very very soon!
