To be honest, I really can’t find many flaws with this site. But having said that, I am interested in hearing your thoughts on what’s wrong with the design. And since this is more site is more of a personal site/blog/gallery, I say do what you like (after listening to the probable upcoming suggestions in the comments).

The only ‘flaw’ I see is that the gallery is in flash (SlideShowPro right?). Well, this isn’t really a flaw as such actually, but it just means people can’t find your shots easily. Maybe the focus needs to be shifted onto the content (rather than the technical bits)? Personally, I enjoyed your insights into web workflow (the web workflow articles you wrote). Oh, and is there a search on this site?

By the way, what’s Bullspot about? And is it just me or is the gallery empty at the moment? And does the water really spin the other way in the northern hemisphere when you flush the toilet? (I’m from Australia — have you seen that Simpsons ep?)

I initially thought/guessed that Bullspot was going to be like a site full of stories where users get to say which ones are utter BS (hence the name). What a dumb guess that was.

I agree with rotaris about the flash gallery. All your various photographs seem to be scattered around - some in flickr, some in the flash gallery, others in your /photos/ folder. I would suggest putting all your eggs in one basket, as it were, by storing all the photography in one place, flickr would probably be the best bet I think.

Also, could AZ version 2 allow sarcasm tags in the comments?

Firstly I’d suggest to revert “Galog and Ballery”. Next: could you please make a font a bit larger - it’s quite hardly readable. I always hit Ctrl++ when i come here. Third: could you please remove “Previous article” from the footer - some people (like me) don’t have unlimited internet traffic (and it’s sometimes painful to see how tons of JPG, that have no relations with the post I’m reading, are loading in the footer). I’d also suggest to improve contrast between text and background in the footer (if you’ll keep it inversed) - for now it’s a bit hard to read gray font on black background (for me, at least).

That’s my opinion. I’m sorry in advance if the comment may seems offensive to you - I just wanted to state what I think could be changed. Thank you.

BTW, my toilet spins clockwise (and I haven’t seen Simpson’s ep.).

I don’t really know how you can make this site better. Maybe try to add some Flash elements or make the all site full flash. And try to add a search bar.

Hi, I would keep your photo’s in the same place ( i’d go for flickr), use maybe a few ajax effects mainly for user interface reasons ie instant form feedback, google maps in the about section. Something I would like to see is maybe a case study in the design process and building of one of your new sites ie The Hosting Factory, Dragon Interactive or April 2ero.

Ps Anand am loving your work in thought it was really cool a few months ago when I read my fav mag Web Designer and saw you in the portfolio section!

One thing I’ve always wanted to see is a shift from the bold block design to somethind a little more delicate - the current design is like a sans-serif font (say, Impact). I may be unique in this, but I have always liked the delicacy of cursive fonts.

I did like the album, once it finally loaded. Having to navigate out to flikr was a little annoyance. Perhaps you can embed Flikr into your album page, or use an album with similar functionalities on AZ?

For some time, you were putting up posts with your latest shots. I suggest just putting up 100px or 200px thumbs, with a lightbox like link on it.

But my real suggestion is this:
Anand, you have such a potent sense of humor - I remember the letter you wrote to me many years ago. Whenever I read it, I nearly expire!!! But nobody looking at your personal website would see anything except a few pieces of Satire, here and there. Please bring humor into your website, it doesnt need to look professional.
