About April Zero

Welcome to my blog!

Disclaimer: This stuff is now about 2 years old and probably wrong.

A new version has been in the works for the last few months, and April 2ero is due to launch pretty soon as something radically new and different. Till then, enjoy this.

“Why the funny name” you ask? “Don't you know that April starts with the first?” Well, I was born on March 31, so I think the name is pretty self explanatory. April Zero, the day that would be before April 1 (if we had dates that were 0), would be the same as March 31.

Anyways, welcome to my blog! This is basically just a place for me to write stuff (articles, whats going on in life, just whatever comes to mind) and post a few photos (though the gallery is pretty small, and a bit old). Hopefully you will find some nuggets of inspiration, wisdom or entertainment.

Pasadena

This is Version 2.0 – Pasadena. The first version was launched on May 1 (2006) as part of the CSS Reboot. It ran on Expression Engine and the design was decent.

It was launched as part of Operation Trinity – the synchronized release of three sites: April Zero, Dragon Labs and Mediastorm on August 24, 2006.

Specs

This site runs on Wordpress, and designed by Dragon Labs, or yours truly. And no, it is not available for use as a template.

This site uses a few great plugins. In case you are interested (I know many other bloggers and developers come here), and for reference purposes, I use:

About the Site

Proudly presenting — Version 2 Pasadena

Welcome to Version Two (Codename Pasadena) of April Zero.

But now welcome to Version Two — Better than ever before! The new site runs on Wordpress, which I like a lot better. The site was coded (and designed) from scratch in about a week's time – with many long nights, and days, of work.

It was launched as part of Operation Trinity – the synchronized release of three sites: April Zero, and Mediastorm – on August 24, 2006.

The bars at the top left have been there since launch. At first they were indicators of the design and coding progress, but now they're just there because I like them. However, the site will never truly be done. It's almost a living entity on its own, and will continue to grow and mature over time.

For you techie types, it's totally coded with CSS and XHTML 1.1 and running on Wordpress 2.
